Ricky Gervais on Creationism

I agree that the snake was probably something of a bad idea. Oh, and he manages to bag on the French and the Swiss as well. That Ricky Gervais is one heck of a funny fellow.

The Beatles : Rock Band

Man, I am so excited for this game’s release. The opening animated intro goes from fantastic to super-amazing and then just down plain outright utterly wonderful. The people behind this little slice of joy should be proud of themselves.

A Boy and His Dog

This is easily one of my favorite cult scifi films from the 1970’s even if it does have one of the corniest closing lines of any film that I’ve ever seen. Still, you can’t hold that against such a classic flick.

Monkey Business - Harpo Playing the Harp

How can you not love Harpo? Next to Groucho, he is obviously the second in command of their chaotic, crazy, and out of control films. Plus he doesn’t speak and is a wonderfully subtle master of the harp in this bit. In the end, well it all just adds up.

Ludwig Von Drake - The Spectrum Song

“Yellow, green, red, blue blue blue, red, purple, green, yellow, orange, red red, red, yellow, green, red, blue blue blue, red, purple, green, yellow, orange, red red.”

The Union: The Business Behind Getting High

Did you know that British Colombia’s biggest industry is the illegal growth and dealing of marijuana? It takes in about $7 billion annually, which is why it should be legal and taxed so that it made into a legit part of the economies of both The U.S. and Canada.

So Quiet On The Canine Front

Yep, I’ve got another zany black and white film from the 1930’s featuring dogs as people. Only this time, it means war. Dogs in biplanes….GENIUS!!!!

Spümcø - Quaker’s Quisp Ad

How I missed this John Kricfalusi animated ad when it originally came out is just beyond me. Too bad Spümcø is no longer around but at least John K still updates his blog.

Mel Brooks - The Critic

No, not Jay Sherman but the very first film by Mel Brooks. This animated short is from 1963 which is five years before he would go on to do the first version of The Producers.

The Mighty Boosh - Eels (Live)

The Boosh is just one of those messed up in a good way type of crazy things that you either get or it leaves you scratching your head in confusion. I caught their show on BBC America, and I’m glad that [as] chose to pick it up.
