Harry ‘Haywire’ McClintock - The Big Rock Candy Mountain

This sounds like a really good vacation destination. Except for the fact that I can never get this song out of my head anytime I hear it.

Peripetics by Zeitguised

“Zeitguised made a piece in six acts for the opening exhibition at the Zirkel Gallery. It entails six imaginations of disoriented systems that take a catastrophic turn, including the evolution of educational plant-body-machine models and liquid building materials.” Whatever that means…

Chinese Girl Baby Atlantis

Man, I really do miss Wonder Showzen. It was one of the funniest things to ever air on Mtv, and probably also one of the most daring when it comes to really edgy comedy.

Video Games

This was supposed to be an intro for a documentary about video games that never came to be. Still, it is a rather nifty bit of animation and I really dig it so enjoy it or not.

The Beatles : Rock Band

Man, I am so excited for this game’s release. The opening animated intro goes from fantastic to super-amazing and then just down plain outright utterly wonderful. The people behind this little slice of joy should be proud of themselves.

Ludwig Von Drake - The Spectrum Song

“Yellow, green, red, blue blue blue, red, purple, green, yellow, orange, red red, red, yellow, green, red, blue blue blue, red, purple, green, yellow, orange, red red.”

Spümcø - Quaker’s Quisp Ad

How I missed this John Kricfalusi animated ad when it originally came out is just beyond me. Too bad Spümcø is no longer around but at least John K still updates his blog.

Mel Brooks - The Critic

No, not Jay Sherman but the very first film by Mel Brooks. This animated short is from 1963 which is five years before he would go on to do the first version of The Producers.

My Green Fedora

I can remember being stuck in bed, sick on a really gloomy day as a kid and I saw this on one of those daytime cartoon shows that ran on TBS back in the day. It really cheered me up then and it still does to this day…plus the tune is really catchy.

Aaron Koblin - Flight Patterns

Artist Aaron Koblin’s work is something extremely modern. He is obsessed with taking data and converting it into works of art. I’m sure you’ll be seeing a lot more of his works in the mainstream, so be sure to check out his official site.
